Getting Started with Themys

Set up Themys and run your first Terms of Service scan in under 5 minutes.

What is Themys?

Themys automatically analyzes Terms of Service and privacy policies, flagging clauses worth reviewing and assigning an attention level so you know where to focus.

Current workflow: the web app

The Themys web app is the currently supported way to scan documents. The Chrome

extension is coming soon and is not available in the Chrome Web Store yet.

Create Your Account

  1. Go to themys.ca and click Sign Up
  2. Create a free account or sign in
  3. The free tier includes 15 reviews per month, one contract paste/PDF trial, and no credit card.

Your First Scan

With the Web App

  1. Go to themys.ca/scan/new
  2. Enter the URL of any public Terms of Service or Privacy Policy page
  3. Click Scan Now and wait for results

Understanding Your Results

Every scan produces three key outputs:

Attention Levels

Your Dashboard

The dashboard keeps your open reviews and watched services together:

  • Start a review by choosing Scan a website, Paste your text, or Upload a PDF. Your plan's existing review limits still apply.
  • Pick up where you left off shows recent scans with an open decision. Search this list by document or service name, or open History for older scans.
  • On your radar shows watched services, with unread alerts first. Choose Manage to read alerts or change monitoring settings.
  • Worth a conversation brings together suggested asks from recent reviews. Expand additional asks or open the original results for context.
