Account & Settings
Manage your Themys account, subscription, credits, and billing from the settings page.
Accessing Settings
Open themys.ca/settings, or choose Settings from your account menu. Settings is one page with sections for profile information, connected accounts, location, scan preferences, subscription, payment history, and account deletion.
Profile and preferences
The Profile section lets you update your display name. Your primary sign-in email is shown here for reference.
Use Connected accounts to review linked sign-in methods.
Use Location profile to set your country and state. Themys uses this information as context when it ranks clauses for your review; it does not make the analysis legal advice.
Use Scan preferences to choose clause topics you care about and to enable or disable stricter scan preferences.
Subscription and billing
The Subscription section shows your current plan, status, available credits, remaining AI explanations for the month, and next billing date.

To upgrade or change a paid plan, select Upgrade plan or Change plan. Prices and available billing intervals are shown on the pricing page.
To stop renewal, select Cancel subscription and confirm. Your paid features remain available through the end of the current billing period; your scan history remains in your account.
Credits
Credits can cover an additional scan or AI explanation after your included allowance is used. Your balance appears in the Subscription section and in relevant upgrade prompts.
Monitoring limits and email-alert eligibility follow the plan table above. You
can turn email alerts off for an individual monitored document from the
Monitoring page; removing a subscription stops future checks and alerts.
Buy credits on the pricing page. Available packs are currently 10 credits for $1.99, 50 credits for $7.99, and 200 credits for $24.99. Credits expire 12 months after purchase and are used only after the relevant plan allowance is exhausted.
Payment history
The Payment history section lists subscription payments and credit-pack purchases with their date, description, amount, and status.
Delete account
To permanently delete your Themys account:
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to Danger zone.
- Select Delete Account, then confirm the deletion.
Deletion removes your Themys profile, scan history, results, and saved preferences, and signs you out. It is irreversible. Deleting your account does not itself replace any cancellation action required for an active paid subscription, so cancel that subscription first from Subscription. Transaction records may be retained where required by law; see the Privacy Policy.
Sign Out
To sign out of Themys:
- Web app: Click your profile icon > Sign Out
- Chrome extension (coming soon): Sign-out instructions will be published after the Web Store release is verified.
Signing out removes access on that device. Your account and data remain available when you sign in again.
